That wonky tee shirtвЂ¦ itвЂ™s confusingвЂ¦ lolвЂ¦ Oh, maybe it will go on my tee shirt list. Maybe later on this year IвЂ™ll give it a try. The cargo pants, strangely enough, make me want to try making pants! I в™Ґ cargos and havenвЂ™t had a pair in years. Would be cool to someoneвЂ™s make of it thoughвЂ¦ The top with the ruched neckline is definitely on my to-make list вЂ“ the yellow counterpart with the shoulder-line buckle is really cute, and is on my wishlist. That business dress is really nice and looks clever, but isnвЂ™t something that fits into my life.

Gotta say though, like others have mentioned, there seem to be more and more вЂњwearablesвЂќ in the Burda magazineвЂ¦. On first glance I wasnвЂ™t too captivated, but upon a second look, there are a couple that stand out to me.

While January was full of bold, colorful designs that were really exciting to look at, this month is all about simpler styles and subtle details that are very wearable and classic in design. There isnвЂ™t anything wrong with it but comparatively, it just isnвЂ™t as exciting as the other offerings this month.ДЄnd there we have it, another month of Burda in the books. It is one of those designs that can be styled up or down, and that versatility makes it the top pattern for the month. The bomber/tweed jacket mashup! I donвЂ™t think this is my personal favorite pattern from this magazine, but I do think it is the most innovative design and most fashion forward piece. After looking through everything more closely, IвЂ™m even more excited for this magazine to arrive in the mail.ДЄnd with that, it means it is time to choose the Best of BS for February 2018: My January Manequim was a little late (presumably from the snow here in the UK), but itвЂ™s finally arrived so IвЂ™ll have that to show you next week, and dayamn if youвЂ™re Plus-sized you might just want to buy it on eBay sight unseen, because there are some amazing designs in there! Burda have been tending towards oversized sack designs for Plus lately, which just doesnвЂ™t seem fair! IвЂ™m not familiar with the designer but I may have to go snoop shopping at his London boutique now!ДЄnd finally, the Plus patterns are all wedding-themed this month, and IвЂ™m pleased to see a few figure-hugging designs included, like this cowl-necked sheath dress. Ooh, a designer asymmetric sheath dress, from Paule Ka! IвЂ™m not that keen on the bow вЂ“ IвЂ™d personally just make that a plain belt, but I love the architectural quality of the pleating. ThereвЂ™s a dress version of this, too, which has the beginner illustrated instructions in the magazine portion. Oh Burda, stop it, youвЂ™re killing me вЂ“ another amazing knit top in this issue?! But seriously, I adore this asymmetric top! That neckline, the gathered cap sleeveвЂ¦ okay, IвЂ™m not keen on the diagonal hem, but thatвЂ™s ridiculously easy to straighten. HereвЂ™s one for the Southern hemisphere petite ladies вЂ“ a really lovely pleated sheath dress, definitely more suited to their Februaries than ours!

IвЂ™m not usually a fan of maxi dresses, but this Grecian-style gown is lovely, and just so happens to have the illustrated instructions for this issue, too. ThereвЂ™s also a short sleeved version, too вЂ“ I am totally making this!Д«urda have a new feature in this issue (maybe it makes up for the lack of vintage pattern?) where they compare a bunch of their patterns with the latest catwalk trendsвЂ¦Д«urda are on fire with the knit tops in this issue вЂ“ how amazing is this teeshirt with the gathered and draped section? I love it paired with jeans, too, though I donвЂ™t really agree with the lady about it being 50s style! Oh, thereвЂ™s also a sleeveless dress version of this design, too. I LOVE this teeshirt with gathers on the raglan seams (front and back). In the meantime though, I want to show you my picks from the latest Burda magazine, because this one is a real keeper! IвЂ™m finally starting to feel a little bit better today, plus IвЂ™ve been a lingerie sewing whirlwind while ill so IвЂ™ve got lots more to show you, including some using the purple lace I bought at Kantje Boord in October!
